Vackert renoverat kloster i Marche
För mer information kontakta: Beskrivning på engelska: The Monastery has been sensitively restored, faithful to historical detail while incorporating the modern refinements required for contemporary life. Inside and outside, the prevailing building material is Montelparo stone, celebrated for its soft golden color. All the floors are antique stone and tile and the wood accents such as beams, doors and windows are chestnut. Hand-forged iron gates, window boxes, fencing and a pergola are some of the reworked artistic details that capture the feeling of age. The platforms where centuries ago the monks processed grapes into wine and the storage cantina used by them and later farmers remain intact. However, two fully modernized kitchens offer the modern home chef a different stage! The monks chants would now be carried throughout the building by a central sound system. What had been the granary is an entertainment room with satellite TV and DSL connections. The original massive stone arches and subtle changes in floor level accentuate the 500 square meters of interior space, stretching through what is primarily an open floor plan. Basically, as it is currently used, the home offers five main bedrooms with a guest/staff wing, three full baths and a guest powder room. Should it be required though, the overall space has the separate access and connected utilities to allow for four individual apartments. Additionally, the church ruin could be renovated as living space – in all, offering as many as eight bedrooms. Now this wonderful stone ruin serves as a lovely outdoor sitting area. Very private, without being isolated, the property is a natural “balcony” of terraced hillsides that historically supported a working vineyard. The home and its gardens and stone walls are surrounded by five hectares of mature olive and walnut groves, fruit trees and idyllic forest". För mer information kontakta: |
